These Terms of Use (“Agreement”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you, as a user accessing or using the Campus Arc platform (“Platform”), and Hüseyin Karataş, the individual proprietor operating the Platform (hereafter referred to as “Campus Arc,” “we,” or “us”). This Agreement applies to all types of users of our Platform, including students, community organizers/members, company representatives, and instructors. By registering for, logging into, or otherwise using the Campus Arc Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the terms of this Agreement, as well as our Privacy Policy and other referenced documents.
2. Account Creation and Security
To use many features of our Platform, you must create an account. In creating and maintaining your account, you agree to the following:
Provide Accurate Information: You will provide truthful, accurate, current, and complete information about yourself as prompted by the registration form (including your real name and a valid email address, and other profile information as applicable). You will not create an account using false identity information or on behalf of someone other than yourself without authorization.
Eligibility & Age Requirement: The Platform is intended primarily for university-level students and older individuals. By creating an account, you affirm that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction). If you are under 18 but at least 13 years old, you may use the Platform only with the involvement and consent of your parent or legal guardian. Users under 13 years of age are not permitted to use Campus Arc. We reserve the right to ask for proof of age or parental consent for users suspected of being under the required age.
Account Credentials: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login credentials (username and password). You should use a strong and unique password and not share it with others. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. If you suspect any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security, you must promptly notify us. Campus Arc will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to keep your account secure.
Account Usage: Each person may only create one account for personal use. Creating multiple accounts for the same person, or selling/trading accounts, is not allowed. Also, you agree not to use anyone else’s account without their express permission.
3. Acceptable Use and Community Guidelines
We aim to foster a respectful, safe, and educational community on Campus Arc. By using the Platform, you agree to the following rules of conduct:
Compliance with Laws and Respect for Others: You will use the Platform in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You will not post or share any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, defamatory, obscene, infringing, hateful, or otherwise objectionable. In particular, you must not engage in harassment, bullying, or discrimination against any individual or group. Any content or activity that violates Turkish laws (such as insult, hate speech, illegal political propaganda, etc.) is strictly forbidden. Keep in mind that unlawful recording or misuse of personal data can be a criminal offense under the Turkish Penal Code; you should not, for example, share someone else’s personal information without consent.
Intellectual Property and Content Rights: You will only post content (text, images, videos, etc.) that you have the right to share. This means either you own the intellectual property rights to the content, or you have obtained the necessary permissions/licenses. Do not upload or share content that infringes any third party’s copyrights, trademarks, or other proprietary rights. For instance, do not post materials (like a photo or document) from someone else’s work unless you have permission or it’s in the public domain.
No Spam or Malicious Activity: You will not use the Platform to transmit unsolicited or bulk communications (spam). This includes unwanted promotional or commercial content, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or repetitive messages. You also agree not to distribute malware, viruses, or any other harmful code via our Platform. Engaging in any activity that disrupts or interferes with the proper working of the Platform (such as a denial of service attack, or attempting to overload the system) is prohibited.
No Unauthorized Access or Data Mining: You agree not to access (or attempt to access) any part of the Platform by any means other than the interface we provide. This means you will not attempt to bypass access controls or use hacking techniques to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users’ accounts. Additionally, you will not use automated tools like bots, scrapers, or spiders to collect data from the Platform without our express permission. Harvesting users’ personal information (such as emails or profile details) by automated or any other means for any purpose, especially commercial, is forbidden.
Community Etiquette: Treat other users with courtesy and respect. The Platform may enable direct communications (like messaging or forum posts); in all such interactions, maintain professionalism (especially for educators and company reps) and civility. Do not engage in personal attacks, doxxing (publishing others’ private info), or any form of exploitation. If you disagree with someone, critique the content or idea, not the person. We encourage a collaborative atmosphere; users should follow any additional community guidelines posted within specific groups or forums.
Content Moderation: Campus Arc reserves the right (but not the obligation) to monitor and moderate user-generated content. We may remove or edit content that violates this Agreement or our policies, or that we deem inappropriate, at our sole discretion. However, the presence of any content on the Platform does not imply our endorsement of it. Users remain responsible for the content they post.
If you violate any of these rules, Campus Arc may take appropriate action, which could include issuing a warning, removing content, or suspending/terminating your account depending on the severity of the violation. Serious violations (such as posting illegal content) can result in immediate account termination and potential reporting to law enforcement authorities.
4. Special Provisions for Different User Types
The Platform serves different kinds of users, and while the general rules above apply to everyone, the following additional terms clarify expectations for specific roles:
Students: If you are using the Platform as a student, you agree to use it for personal, educational, and career development purposes. You will not use your student account primarily for commercial activities (other than perhaps seeking internships or jobs, which is allowed). You should interact respectfully with company representatives and educators on the platform. Any content you post (questions, comments, posts) should be relevant to the community or topic at hand. You are responsible for your interactions and communications; always exercise common sense especially when meeting or communicating with new contacts.
Communities (Student Clubs & Non-Profit Organizations): If you manage or represent a student community on Campus Arc, you confirm that you are authorized by that community to do so. Community leaders must ensure compliance with KVKK (Turkish data protection law) when handling member data (e.g., if you see a list of members, you cannot use it outside the Platform for unrelated purposes without consent). Any events or content posted by communities should adhere to university policies and applicable laws. Communities cannot use the Platform solely as an advertising channel; the content should benefit members (e.g., event invites, community news). If a community is found to be inactive or misusing the Platform, Campus Arc reserves the right to unverify or remove the community profile after attempts to contact the admins.
Companies: If you are a company representative or sponsor on the Platform, you may use Campus Arc to engage with students and communities for things like sharing event invitations, mentorship opportunities, or job/internship postings. However, you must adhere to the Turkish Regulation on Commercial Electronic Messages, meaning you should not send mass unsolicited messages to users without their consentvarsapp.com. Any recruitment postings should be genuine and not misleading. You also agree not to solicit personal data from students beyond what is appropriate (for example, you can ask interested students to provide a resume via a legitimate process, but you cannot scrape student profiles to build a marketing list). Companies must respect the Platform’s purpose – overt marketing or sales pitches unrelated to campus life or student opportunities may be considered spam.
Instructors/Educators: If you are on the Platform as an educator, mentor, or trainer, you are expected to uphold professional standards in your interactions. Provide accurate and helpful information in your field of expertise. Do not exploit your position – for instance, you should not charge students for advice on the Platform (beyond any structured program Campus Arc may host, if applicable). Also, treat student inquiries with respect. Any educational content or resources you share should be either your own or properly credited if from third parties. As with others, you may not share or reuse any personal data of students you gain access to through the Platform outside the Platform’s intended use (like contacting them for unrelated offers without permission).
5. Intellectual Property Rights
Our Intellectual Property: Campus Arc (as a platform) and all of its elements including but not limited to the software, design, logos, and trademarks (e.g., the “Campus Arc” name and logo) are owned by Hüseyin Karataş or his licensors. They are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Platform for its intended purpose. You agree not to copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Platform or included software, nor to reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of that software, unless laws prohibit those restrictions or you have our written permission.
Your Content: You retain all intellectual property rights to the content you create and post on Campus Arc (such as your posts, event descriptions, photos, etc.), unless otherwise agreed. By posting content on the Platform, you grant Campus Arc a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license (with the right to sub-license only as needed to affiliates or technical providers) to use, reproduce, modify (for formatting or technical purposes), display, and distribute your content within the context of providing our services and for promoting Campus Arc. For clarity, this license enables us to display your content to other users (as you intend) and to promote the Platform (for example, we might showcase a screenshot of a successful community event on our homepage or social media). We will not sell your content to third parties. This license ends when you delete your content from the Platform, except to the extent that it has been shared with others who have not deleted it or it has been archived as part of backups (in which case we will eventually purge it according to our backup retention policy).
Third-Party IP Violations: We respect others’ intellectual property rights and expect you to do the same. If we receive a proper takedown notice (e.g., under the DMCA or its equivalent, or a rightful owner’s complaint) regarding content you have posted, we may remove that content and notify you. Repeat infringement may result in account termination. If you believe content on Campus Arc infringes your copyright or other IP rights, please notify us at contact@campusarc.com with details, and we will investigate and respond accordingly (including removing the content if appropriate).
Campus Arc Content: Apart from user-generated content, any content provided by Campus Arc (like any text, tutorials, or graphics we put out) is our intellectual property or used under license. You must not use it outside the Platform without permission.
6. Limitation of Liability
Service Availability: Campus Arc strives to provide a reliable and accessible service, but we do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free at all times. There may be occasional downtime for maintenance or technical issues beyond our control. We will try to notify users in advance of major maintenance downtime when possible. However, we are not liable for any loss or damage that might result from any service outage or the timing of updates.
No Warranty on Content: The content on Campus Arc is largely generated by users or third parties. We do not warrant or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information on the Platform. Reliance on any information posted is at your own risk. Although we may moderate content, we are not responsible for any damages or losses arising from user content (e.g., if you act on advice given by another user and it turns out to be wrong, or if an event you sign up for via the Platform is canceled or not as described).
User Interactions: Any interactions or dealings between you and any other user, organization, or third party found on or through the Platform are solely between you and that party. Campus Arc is not liable for any disputes, claims, or damages arising out of or in any way related to those dealings. For example, if you meet someone through Campus Arc and enter into a business arrangement, we won’t be liable for how that turns out. However, we want a safe community, so you can report any misuse or suspicious behavior and we will attempt to intervene within our Platform’s scope (such as investigating and possibly removing offending users).
External Links: The Platform may contain links to external websites or resources. Campus Arc is not responsible or liable for the availability or accuracy of such external resources, or the content, products, or services on or available from them. These links are provided for convenience and do not signify our endorsement of the linked content. If you click those, you do so at your own risk.
Platform Changes: We reserve the right to change, add, or remove features or functionalities of the Platform at any time. We also reserve the right to suspend or stop the service altogether with reasonable notice. We are not liable for any impact that changes to the Platform’s features might have on you, provided that such changes are made in good faith to improve or maintain the service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Campus Arc (and its operator Hüseyin Karataş) disclaims any warranties (express or implied) regarding the Platform, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The Platform and all content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
Furthermore, to the extent permitted by law, in no event will Campus Arc be liable for any indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, or punitive damages, including lost profits, loss of data, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Platform, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising out of or relating to this Agreement or the Platform will not exceed the amount (if any) you paid us to use the service in the 6 months preceding the claim (most services are currently free, so this may be zero)varsapp.com. In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, our liability will be limited to the fullest extent allowed by law.
7. Term and Termination
This Agreement begins when you first accept it (for instance, when you create an account or first use the Platform) and remains in effect while you use the Platform.
You may terminate this Agreement at any time by deleting your account (through the account settings) and discontinuing use of the Platform. Upon deletion of your account, we will handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy (generally removing or anonymizing personal information, except as retained for legal purposes). Your obligations under this Agreement (and any accrued rights of Campus Arc) will survive the termination to the extent applicable (for example, any indemnification obligations, or our rights regarding content you posted prior to termination).
Campus Arc may terminate or suspend your account and this Agreement at any time with or without cause, with or without notice, effective immediately. We typically will give notice and reason (e.g., violation of rules, prolonged inactivity, or a request by you to cancel). However, for serious violations of our rules or law, we may terminate immediately without prior notice. If we terminate without cause (for instance, shutting down the entire service), where feasible we will provide advance notice via the Platform or to your registered email.
Upon any termination by either party: you lose the right to access the Platform or any of your content on the Platform (so make sure to save your own content or data you need beforehand), and all licenses granted by you and to you in this Agreement shall cease. If your account is terminated due to a breach of this Agreement, we reserve the right to prohibit you from creating a new account.
8. Modifications to Terms
Campus Arc may revise these Terms of Use from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify users by posting the updated terms on our website and updating the “Last updated” date, and/or by sending an email notification or in-platform message describing the changes. It is important that you review any revised Terms. By continuing to use the Platform after changes to the Terms take effect, you agree to be bound by the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you must stop using the Platform and may delete your account if you wish.
For minor changes that do not significantly affect your rights (for example, clarifications or corrections), we may not send out individual notices, so please check this page periodically.
9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to this Agreement or the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul (Anatolian Side), Turkey. If you are accessing the Platform from outside of Turkey, you are still responsible for complying with local laws, but you explicitly agree that Turkish law governs and Turkish courts have jurisdiction in any conflict related to Campus Arc.
10. Miscellaneous
Severability: If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be severed from the Agreement without affecting the validity of the remaining provisions, which will remain in full force and effect. The parties agree to interpret any invalid provision (or have it judicially reformed) in a manner that closely reflects the original intent and has a similar economic effect.
No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of this Agreement shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorized representative of Campus Arc.
Assignment: You may not assign or transfer this Agreement (or any of your rights or obligations hereunder) without our prior written consent. We may assign this Agreement as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of our assets, or by operation of law or otherwise, and we will notify you if such an assignment occurs.
Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and any other legal notices or additional terms provided to you within the Platform, constitute the entire agreement between you and Campus Arc regarding the Platform. They supersede any prior agreements or communications between you and us relating to the subject matter.
Headings: Section titles or headings in this Agreement are for convenience only and have no legal or contractual effect.
Language: This Agreement may be presented in multiple languages for convenience. In case of any discrepancy between the Turkish version and the English version, the Turkish version (being the primary language of the jurisdiction) shall prevail.
11. Contact and Notices
Campus Arc may send you notifications or communications via the email address associated with your account, through in-app messages, or via other means reasonably likely to reach you. For example, service announcements or legal notices may be emailed to the address you provided. It’s your responsibility to keep that email address current and to check it. Communications about support or questions can be directed to us via the contact information on our website or through contact@campusarc.com.
By using Campus Arc, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms of Use. Thank you for being a part of our community – we hope you find Campus Arc valuable and enriching!
